Location & Logistics
Location: Kyiv, Ukraine (On-site / Field-adjacent with hands-on hardware interaction or remote in Ukraine with OCCASIONAL VISIT to Kyiv office
Responsibilities
Develop, refine, and maintain high-performance C++ code for AI autopilot systems, flight functionality, tactics, and autonomous behaviors.
Integrate software modules with open-source and custom flight controller ecosystems including ArduPilot and Betaflight.
Collaborate directly with machine learning teams to implement and optimize AI flight behavior on embedded target hardware.
Participate actively in hands-on field testing, hardware-in-the-loop validation, and flight trials to iterate rapidly under physical constraints.
Debug, optimize, and validate mission-critical embedded software to guarantee high reliability in dynamic environments.
Support rapid deployment cycles, feeding operational flight results directly back into system updates and performance enhancements.
Qualifications
Solid engineering fundamentals in C++ applied to real-time or embedded software development.
Hands-on experience working with flight controllers such as ArduPilot, Betaflight, PX4, or equivalent systems.
Practical exposure to embedded systems, hardware integration, robotics, or UAV platforms.
Ability to troubleshoot software-hardware interactions under real-world field conditions.
Professional working proficiency in English (bilingual English/Ukrainian capability is a distinct advantage).
