Hands-on Solution Architect (.NET)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Hands-on Solution Architect (.NET) with deep expertise in .NET, AWS, and distributed systems to join one of our long-term international projects.
In this role, you will serve as a senior technical leader, driving architectural and engineering decisions while remaining actively involved in software development. You will design and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions, provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, and help shape the long-term technical direction of the platform.
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on software engineering expertise with architectural thinking, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and leads by example through high-quality code and sound technical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions using C# and .NET technologies.
- Drive architectural decisions and ensure the implementation of scalable, maintainable, secure, and reliable solutions.
- Design and implement microservices-based and distributed architectures.
- Build and maintain high-performance REST APIs.
- Design and develop cloud-native solutions using AWS services, including AWS Lambda and Amazon SQS.
- Design efficient and scalable relational database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server.
- Take ownership of complex technical initiatives, from initial architecture and technical strategy through implementation and delivery.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, estimate engineering efforts, and define implementation strategies.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets established quality standards and the agreed Definition of Done.
- Conduct code reviews and establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and software quality guidelines.
- Mentor and support engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and architectural reviews.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver business value.
- Identify technical risks, resolve complex engineering challenges, and continuously improve system performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.
- Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
Requirements
- 10+ years of commercial software development experience, including extensive hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core/modern .NET, and .NET Framework.
- 3+ years of experience in a Solution Architect, Software Architect, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Technical Lead, Development Lead, or similar senior technical role.
- Proven experience driving architectural decisions and leading complex technical initiatives from design through implementation and delivery.
- Strong experience designing and building microservices-based and distributed architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including AWS Lambda, Amazon SQS, and cloud-native application development.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and relational database design.
- Extensive experience designing and developing REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
- Strong experience conducting code reviews, establishing engineering standards, and mentoring engineers.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1 or higher).

- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Amazon EKS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar.
- Experience working with AI-powered development tools.
- Experience modernizing legacy systems and migrating applications to cloud-native architectures.
- Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures and messaging systems.
