About the Project
We are working with a fast-growing, venture-backed US startup building an AI-powered go-to-market automation platform.
The product helps companies find and enrich potential customers, automate outbound communication through email and LinkedIn, generate sales pipelines, and book meetings using AI agents.
The company is growing quickly and is looking to expand its engineering capacity with a strong, product-minded engineer who can work as an embedded member of a small founding team.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer with a strong backend focus.
Approximately 70% of the work will be backend development with Python, Django, and SQL, while around 30% will involve React and product-facing frontend development.
You will work directly with the founders and other engineers, take ownership of product features, communicate with customers, and contribute to technical and product decisions.
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys working in a small, fast-moving startup environment with significant ownership and limited bureaucracy.
Responsibilities

Own product features across the full development lifecycle.
Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain backend and frontend functionality.
Develop backend services using Python, Django, and SQL.
Build and improve user-facing functionality using React and JavaScript.
Architect scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
Work with AI agents, data enrichment processes, and automation workflows.
Use AI coding assistants and agentic development workflows to accelerate delivery.
Debug production issues and improve system performance and reliability.
Work directly with customers to understand problems and translate feedback into product improvements.
Participate in product roadmap, architecture, and technical strategy discussions.
Collaborate closely with the founders and the rest of the engineering team.
Communicate progress, risks, and technical trade-offs clearly.
Required Experience

5+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong commercial experience with Python.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Experience building and deploying software used by real customers.
Full-stack development experience, with a stronger focus on backend engineering.
Experience designing APIs, backend services, and production systems.
Ability to independently take a feature from an initial idea to production.
Experience working with modern AI coding assistants or agentic coding workflows.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Product-oriented mindset and ability to make practical engineering decisions.
Strong written and spoken English.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous startup environment.
Availability for regular working-hours overlap with a New York-based team.
Preferred Experience

Commercial experience with Django.
Experience with React and JavaScript.
Experience with Pandas and dataframe-based data processing.
Experience with Node.js.
Knowledge of AWS or another major cloud platform.
Experience working with AI-powered products, LLMs, autonomous agents, or workflow automation.
Previous experience in sales technology, marketing technology, data enrichment, or B2B SaaS.
Experience working directly with customers.
Experience leading engineers or owning technical initiatives.
Previous experience in an early-stage startup.
