About the project

A multi-marketplace e-commerce SaaS platform that helps sellers manage inventory, sales analytics, profit tracking, and forecasting across Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and Walmart. Web application built on Next.js/React with a GraphQL API and MongoDB, with heavy data pipelines syncing marketplace data.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of testing theory: testing types and levels, test design techniques, bug life cycle
• Experience in web application testing: functional, regression, smoke, cross-browser, UI/UX
• Ability to create and maintain test documentation: test cases, checklists, bug reports
• Experience in API testing with Postman or similar — REST and/or GraphQL (our API is GraphQL; solid REST experience with willingness to pick up GraphQL is fine)
• Experience verifying data in databases; we use MongoDB (SQL background with readiness to switch is acceptable)
• Confident use of browser DevTools: analyzing network requests and console output, localizing the root cause of a bug (frontend vs backend)
• Experience with Jira (or a similar task tracker), understanding of Scrum/Agile processes
• English sufficient for reading technical documentation
• Attention to detail, ability to independently explore new functionality and prioritize tasks

Nice to have

• Experience testing products with third-party integrations (marketplaces, payment providers, webhooks) — Shopify, Amazon SP-API, TikTok Shop, Walmart in our case
• Experience testing data-heavy functionality: dashboards, reports, analytics — ability to cross-check numbers and validate calculation correctness
• Experience testing e-commerce or SaaS products
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• Understanding of test automation principles
• Basic Git experience

Responsibilities

• Functional and regression testing of new and existing platform functionality (inventory, analytics, forecasting, SKU management)
• Testing marketplace integrations: data synchronization, webhooks, edge cases across Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and Walmart
• Validating data correctness in reports and dashboards (cross-checking numbers against source data)
• Creating and keeping test documentation up to date (test cases, checklists)
• Filing bug reports in Jira, verifying fixes
• Analyzing requirements/tickets before development starts, participating in planning

• Communicating with developers about found defects
