International IT Contract Counsel

Softengi is a fast-growing IT company delivering and supporting various software development projects. We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to join our team and provide legal support for the company’s international operations, global clients, and business partners.

Our ideal candidate has:

• 3+ years of professional legal experience.
• Experience working in an IT company or providing legal services to IT businesses.
• Strong legal English skills (B2–C1 level or higher) and proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents in English.
• Understanding of IT industry terminology and business specifics.
• Experience working with foreign jurisdictions, including the European Union, the United States, and the UAE.
• Knowledge of international contract law and experience supporting cross-border business operations.
• Understanding of compliance requirements and international business practices.
• Experience conducting negotiations, resolving contractual issues, and managing legal risks.
• Experience preparing legal opinions, analytical memos, and recommendations for business teams.
• Ability to manage tasks within agreed deadlines and service level requirements (SLA).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, service agreements, and other legal documents for international clients and partners.
• Preparing and reviewing contracts governed by foreign jurisdictions.
• Providing legal support for cooperation with international clients and partners.
• Communicating with project managers, business teams, and stakeholders regarding legal matters and contract requirements.
• Preparing legal letters, explanations, claims, legal opinions, and other documents in English.
• Conducting legal research and preparing analytical memos regarding legislation of different countries.
• Reviewing tender documentation and supporting the company during international tender procedures.
• Identifying legal risks and providing recommendations to business teams.
• Supporting the development and implementation of legal processes and policies within the company.

Working conditions:

• Full-time position (occasional overtime may be required).
• Remote work from any city in Ukraine or office-based work in Kyiv.
• Working hours aligned with Kyiv time zone, with occasional availability during clients’ working hours (USA, UAE).
