Senior Frontend Engineer

We are looking for a senior frontend engineer to help build a modern web platform for technical and data-intensive workflows.

You will work on complex interfaces involving search, metadata, permissions, configuration, long-running processes, and interactive data exploration. The role is a good fit for someone who enjoys turning technically sophisticated systems into clear, reliable user experiences.

What you will do

• Build and maintain the application using React and TypeScript.
• Develop search, filtering, catalogue, and detailed data views.
• Create interfaces for users, organisations, permissions, and secure sharing.
• Build configuration workflows for technical and machine-learning use cases.
• Develop dashboards for usage, processing status, and system activity.
• Integrate OAuth/OIDC-based authentication and access control.
• Design interfaces for asynchronous and long-running backend operations.
• Establish reusable components, testing practices, and frontend architecture.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product, and design.

What we are looking for

• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience building complex, data-intensive web applications.
• Strong knowledge of state management, asynchronous workflows, and API integration.
• Experience with search, filtering, tables, forms, and permission-management interfaces.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts through thoughtful product design.
• Familiarity with frontend testing and performance optimisation.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, OAuth, OIDC, or role-based access control.
• Strong attention to usability, interaction quality, and visual detail.

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js, TanStack Query, Zustand, Redux, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Three.js, React Three Fiber, WebGL, WebGPU, or other visualisation technologies.
• Experience with developer tools, cloud platforms, analytics, or infrastructure products.
• Knowledge of machine-learning or scientific-computing workflows.
• Experience building multi-tenant B2B products.
• Familiarity with Storybook, design systems, accessibility, and internationalisation.
• Experience with Keycloak or another enterprise identity provider.
