Requirements:

— 4+ years of professional front-end experience, with production experience predating AI-assisted development – we require an engineering foundation built before coding agents, verified at interview through deep debugging and fundamentals questions;
— Strong React + TypeScript; production experience with Next.js (App Router, server components);
— Practical web3 experience: worked with wallet integrations (custodial or non-custodial), querying RPC nodes, and reading on-chain data, with a working grasp of blockchain fundamentals – transactions, gas, nonces, and EVM basics;
— Hands-on production experience with viem and wagmi (current major versions): wallet connection, contract reads/writes, transaction lifecycle handling (pending/confirmed/stuck/replaced);
— Experience building or integrating cross-chain bridge flows (deposit/withdrawal UX, multi-chain state, confirmation tracking);
— Experience working in a monorepo with shared packages: consuming and contributing to a shared component/utility library, semantic versioning, changelogs, avoiding breaking downstream apps;
— Strong practical AI-tooling expertise: running coding agents (e.g. Claude Code or similar) including parallel agent workflows, reviewing and correcting AI-generated code, building agentic pipelines; a forward-looking mindset toward AI-assisted engineering is a hard requirement;
— Ability to review someone else’s code critically – including AI output – and catch subtle correctness issues, especially in transaction/signing paths;

Would be a plus:

— React Native experience;
— OP-stack rollup experience or knowledge (sequencer, L1 data posting, deposits/withdrawals);
— DeFi protocol familiarity (AMMs/DEXes, token approvals, allowance UX);
— E2E and visual-regression testing experience (Playwright or similar);
— Accessibility and i18n experience;
 
 

Responsibilities:

— Maintain and extend the shared front-end packages (UI components, utilities, web3 helpers, configuration) consumed by all Whitechain applications: triage, fixes, releases, and non-breaking evolution;
— Stand up new user-facing applications quickly from the internal boilerplate and shared platform, taking them from scaffold to production;
— Build and maintain blockchain-facing features day-to-day: wallet connection, contract interaction, transaction submission and confirmation tracking, chain switching, error and edge-case handling;
— Implement and maintain cross-chain bridge user flows (deposits, withdrawals, status tracking);
— Work AI-first: execute with coding agents, run parallel agent workflows where appropriate, and apply rigorous human review to everything an agent produces – with extra scrutiny on signing/transaction code;
— Act as second reviewer on web3-sensitive code paths;
— Contribute to e2e/visual-regression test coverage and keep CI quality gates green;
— Follow and contribute to engineering conventions, ADRs, and documentation.
