Manual QA Engineer
We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join our internal QA team. The role is focused on ensuring high product quality through functional, regression, integration, API, and mobile testing, while contributing to the continuous improvement of QA processes within the company.
One of the current projects is a US-based product company building an AI platform for the multifamily rental space. It connects prospective renters with current residents to share real experiences, and helps property management teams better understand tenant needs based on that data.
This is a long-term remote position with a collaborative team environment.
Working hours: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM Kyiv time (equivalent to 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EDT)- aligned with our US-based team
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial experience in Manual QA.
- Strong experience testing web applications.
- Experience testing mobile applications (iOS and Android).
- Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing.
- Experience creating and maintaining test documentation (test cases, checklists, bug reports).
- Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Familiarity with SQL for basic database validation.
- Experience working with Jira and Confluence (or similar tools).
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- English level: Upper Intermediate (B2) or higher.
Responsibilities
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing.
- Test web and mobile applications across different platforms and devices.
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases, checklists, and test reports.
- Perform API testing and validate backend functionality.
- Identify, document, and verify defects using Jira.
- Participate in requirements analysis and provide QA feedback during feature planning.
- Collaborate closely with developers, Product Managers, Designers, and other QA engineers.
- Contribute to improving QA processes and maintaining high product quality across projects.
- Participate in release verification and production validation when required.
