BI/Data Engineer

ORIL is seeking a skilled and proactive Senior BI/Data Engineer to design, scale, and maintain our mission-critical, AI-driven data platform. About the Project

Our client is a US-based innovator providing a centralized data platform for multi-family real estate. The product leverages BI analytics and AI to help operators optimize marketing spend and operational efficiency. The platform aggregates complex real estate datasets to feed real-time BI dashboards and power an intelligent Text-to-SQL analytics chatbot.
 

What are we looking for?

• 4+ years of experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines, backend data architectures, and BI systems;
• Strong expertise in Python and advanced SQL (complex queries, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning);
• Proven experience with Data Modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas, relational databases, data warehousing concepts);
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines;
• Strong experience with data cleaning, normalization, and aggregation to ensure accurate, consistent, and reliable data for both BI dashboards and AI applications;
• Experience working with relational databases and modern Data Warehouses;
• Experience with BI tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Metabase, or custom visualization solutions);
• Curiosity about multi-family real estate domain metrics (marketing spend, occupancy rates, operational efficiency, ROI) to better design analytical models;
• English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2+).
   

What will you do?

• Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines to process real estate data from multiple sources;
• Architect and maintain clean, structured databases and data models optimized for fast querying, BI reporting, and AI/LLM integration (Text-to-SQL);
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and freshness across the entire platform through automated testing and monitoring;
• Collaborate with the AI/ML Engineer to prepare, expose, and optimize data schemas required for the intelligent chatbot and automated AI insights;
• Build and support analytical dashboards/reports that help business users derive actionable insights;
• Diagnose and resolve data bottlenecks, slow queries, and pipeline failures;
• Work closely with Product Managers and the engineering team to refine the data roadmap and ensure smooth data integration.
