Python Engineer

Python Developer

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join our team and contribute to the development, improvement, and maintenance of modern backend services and web applications.

We need a self-driven specialist who is confident not only in backend development but also understands application deployment and operations in AWS cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python.
• Design and implement REST APIs.
• Work with an existing codebase, including optimisation and refactoring.
• Design the architecture of individual services and modules.
• Integrate third-party services and external APIs.
• Work with relational databases.
• Write and optimise SQL queries.
• Containerise applications using Docker.
• Deploy and support applications in Kubernetes.
• Work with AWS infrastructure and cloud services.
• Participate in setting up and improving CI/CD processes.
• Write unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot issues and analyse system performance.
• Take part in technical discussions and task estimation.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and other team members.

• Maintain technical documentation.

   

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience in Python development.
• Strong knowledge of Python 3.
• Practical experience with one or more frameworks: Django, Django REST Framework, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Experience developing and maintaining REST APIs.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Commercial experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database.
• Practical experience with AWS.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience containerising applications with Docker.
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and practical experience supporting or configuring CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of OOP, SOLID, DRY, and KISS principles.
• Experience writing automated tests using Pytest, Unittest, or similar tools.
• Experience with Git.
• Understanding of client-server and microservices architecture.
• Understanding of basic web application security principles.
• Ability to independently analyse requirements, break down tasks, and estimate delivery timelines.
• English level sufficient for reading technical documentation and communicating within the team.
