The Role

We’re a buzzing fintech startup with seed investment and big dreams. If you’re a code-slinging, problem-solving, roadmap-driving superstar with a knack for turning chaos into order, then you’re in the right place!

We are looking for a high-agency React Native developer to take full ownership of our mobile ecosystem. You aren’t just shipping features; you are responsible for the primary interface of our financial platform. You’ll manage everything from the React Native codebase to the native bridges for Apple/Google Pay and the biometric security layer.

What You’ll Own

• The Full Lifecycle: Own the codebase, build pipeline, and App Store/Play Store presence.
• Payments & Wallets: Own card provisioning/tokenization into Apple Pay & Google Pay via our custom native wallet module, plus the biometric (Keyless.io) and PIN-management flows.
• Realtime Experience: Own our WebSocket layer (live backend events, in-app chat) — keeping state fresh and connections resilient across app suspend/resume.
• AI-Powered Features: Build and refine our in-app AI assistant surfaces (expense and mileage chat), from streaming UX to the client-side agent flow.
• Performance & Security: Ensure the app is snappy, handles sensitive financial data securely, and integrates seamlessly with our backend APIs.
• Architectural Evolution: Refactor legacy shortcuts into a scalable architecture that supports rapid feature deployment without regressions.

The Profile

Technical Depth: Extensive experience with React Native, including Native Modules (Objective-C/Swift/Java/Kotlin) for wallet integrations. You aren’t afraid to go “under the hood.”

Fintech Intuition: You understand SCA (Strong Customer Authentication), card tokenization, and the nuances of payment and PIN state — and you respect how much care sensitive financial flows demand.

Systems Thinker: You’re comfortable across a multi-client API surface (typed React Query hooks, layered Axios interceptors, token refresh) and realtime WebSocket state — you can reason about the whole data pipeline, not just the screen.

Operational Excellence: You’ve managed the “pain” of App Store reviews and know how to automate releases.

AI-Native Workflow: You use agentic coding tools like Claude Code and OpenAI Codex daily to plan and implement, and know how to drive them without losing rigour.

Founder Mindset: You prefer a clean, fast-moving codebase over bloated documentation but understand that “speed” requires automated testing.
