Senior Java Developer

Project Description:

We are developing a platform that receives securities and price data from multiple providers, enriches and validates it, and distributes the consolidated data to internal bank systems. Our team manages various web and desktop applications, web services, and Linux environments that enable visualization of securities and execution of related workflows.

Our components are built using Java 8-11, JavaScript/TypeScript, Oracle, and Spring 4-5, including Spring Boot.

Responsibilities:

- Develop back-end systems using Java with well-tested code.
- Support the development environment, primarily through automation using Jenkins CI and Bash.
- Evaluate and implement new development tools, libraries, and methodologies to enhance quality.
- Conduct peer code reviews for changes in the project codebase.
- Collaborate effectively with a global team across multiple time zones, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Provide constructive suggestions and alternative solutions to team members to identify the most efficient and optimized approaches.

Mandatory Skills Description:

The role requires extensive expertise in Java SE and Java EE with over a decade of professional experience, emphasizing strong proficiency in the Spring framework, including Boot, IoC, MVC, AOP, Security, Data, JDBC, and testing components. The candidate must be skilled in SQL and relational databases, specifically Oracle, and have a solid understanding of Servlets, servlet containers such as Tomcat, and application servers like Weblogic. Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools, notably TeamCity and Jenkins, is also essential.

Hard skills include:
- Advanced Java SE and Java EE development
- Comprehensive Spring framework application
- SQL query writing and database management using Oracle
- Knowledge of Servlets, Tomcat, and Weblogic server environments
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity and Jenkins
- Practical Linux system navigation, file and permission management, user and group administration, process and service handling, security keys and certificates, and basic Bash scripting

Soft skills focus on:
- Analytical problem-solving to identify and implement effective, maintainable solutions
- Collaborative discussion and consensus-building within the team to select optimal approaches

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

- Proficiency in Angular or similar frameworks (React, Vue), including Angular Material and RxJs, demonstrating capability in modern front-end development.
- Ability to design and implement visually appealing and functional HTML/CSS layouts.
- Strong expertise in Oracle database management and operations.
- Familiarity with ELK stack for logging, monitoring, and data analysis.
- Experience working with Spring Cloud modules and developing microservice architectures.
