Backend PHP Developer
NovaCore is looking for a PHP Backend Developer to work on web platforms, APIs, integrations, internal systems, and scalable business applications.
The project is a platform for managing subscriptions, invoices, recurring payments, pricing plans, and customer billing history. PHP and Laravel are used to implement billing workflows, payment provider integrations, webhooks, background jobs, and financial reporting. The system processes subscription changes, payment retries, refunds, promotional discounts, and account notifications. The team is currently improving payment reliability, adding new billing models, and integrating additional payment providers.
Requirements
- 2+ years of commercial PHP development experience.
- Strong knowledge of PHP 8+.
- Experience with Laravel or Symfony.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
- Strong knowledge of OOP and SOLID principles.
- Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of ORM tools such as Eloquent or Doctrine.
- Understanding of authentication and application security.
- Experience with Git.
- English level B1+.
Nice to have
- Experience with Redis and background jobs.
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD.
- Experience with PHPUnit or Pest.
- Familiarity with microservices.
- Experience with AWS or another cloud platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using PHP.
- Design REST APIs and implement business logic.
- Work with databases and optimize SQL queries.
- Integrate payment services and external APIs.
- Implement queues and background processing.
- Write unit and integration tests.
- Review code and improve technical quality.
- Investigate and resolve production issues.
