Senior Backend Engineer (Java, C++, Scala)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time outstaff project. You will work on building and maintaining high-performance backend services, collaborating with an international team, and delivering scalable solutions using Java, C++, and Scala.

This is a white-label engagement where you'll be expected to take ownership of backend development, contribute to architectural decisions, and build reliable, production-ready software.

Core Competence:

• 5+ years of professional experience with Java in backend application development.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with C++, building performant and reliable software.
• 2+ years of commercial experience with Scala in production environments.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, and clean code practices.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems.
• Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend service architecture.
• Experience working with relational databases and writing efficient SQL queries.
• Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and improve existing backend applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in an international team.

• English proficiency at a conversational level (B2 or higher).

   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with distributed systems or high-load applications.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and collaborative engineering practices.
