Manual QA Engineer - SaaS / E-commerce

We're a technical agency behind one of the largest Amazon marketing operations in the US. Our platform — Signal — gives Amazon sellers deep insight into keywords, rankings, brand performance, and competitive landscape. It's a live Laravel + React SaaS in active QA and reliability stabilization.

Full-time, fully remote, exclusive to Automateco. You'll own manual QA across QA, demo, and staging environments. You find bugs before clients do, write clear repro steps, and help the team ship with confidence.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute manual test passes across web app features: dashboards, keyword tools, brand views, reports, notifications.
• Run regression before releases; maintain test checklists for critical user flows.
• File precise bug reports: steps, expected vs actual, screenshots, environment, severity.
• Do exploratory testing on new features and edge cases: filters, pagination, exports, real-time updates.
• Verify fixes and close the loop with engineering.
• Track QA, demo, and staging environments; flag data or config issues that block testing.
• Partner with engineers on acceptance criteria before build lands in QA.

What you bring

• 2+ years manual QA on web/SaaS products — not only ad-hoc clicking.
• Strong written communication: repro steps a dev can follow without a call.
• Comfortable testing data-heavy UIs: tables, charts, filters, exports, date ranges.
• You think like a user and like an attacker: empty states, bad inputs, slow networks, stale data.
• Self-directed in remote/async setup; you unblock yourself and escalate clearly.
• English B2+ for bug reports and async communication with the team.

Nice to have

• E-commerce or Amazon seller tools.
• Basic SQL or API testing with Postman for validating backend behavior.
• Bugsnag, Datadog, or similar tools — reading errors/logs to narrow repro.
• Light automation interest (Playwright/Cypress). Manual QA is core; automation is a plus.

Probably not your role if you only do checklist QA with no curiosity, or you need daily standups and hand-holding to stay productive.
