Senior Full Stack Engineer (BE focused)

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (BE focused) to join our client's team at a pivotal stage of their journey. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced product-minded engineer who enjoys building products from the ground up, taking ownership of technical decisions, and working side by side with the founding team to shape both the technology and the future of the company.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage startup environments, enjoys moving fast, embraces AI-native development, and is passionate about turning ideas into scalable products. You'll work closely with an experienced CTO and have a direct impact on the product, architecture, and engineering culture from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the CTO to evolve the MVP into a scalable production platform
• Take ownership of full-stack feature development from design through deployment
• Contribute to the company's technical vision, architecture, and long-term engineering strategy
• Design and build modern web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Develop scalable backend services and work with SQL databases, Prisma, and cloud infrastructure
• Integrate AI capabilities using leading LLM providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic
• Design and implement AI-powered workflows, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and agentic systems
• Build secure, performant, and maintainable software following engineering best practices
• Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining a deep understanding of the underlying implementation
• Work independently, research new technologies, and drive technical decisions with minimal supervision

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Engineer building modern web applications
• Excellent knowledge of Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Experience working with SQL databases, data modelling, and Prisma ORM
• Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic into production applications
• Practical experience building AI-powered features, workflows, or automation using modern AI tooling
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants as part of your daily development workflow
• Strong product mindset with the ability to balance technical excellence and business impact
• Ability to work independently, move quickly, and take ownership of complex technical challenges
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure
• Experience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
• Experience with Python
• Previous startup or founding engineer experience

• Personal side projects, startup experience, or products built outside of work
