About the Role

We are looking for an AI Automation Engineer who is passionate about using AI to transform the software development lifecycle.

In this role, you'll design and implement AI-powered automation, agentic workflows, and internal developer tools that improve how software is built, reviewed, tested, deployed, and maintained. You'll work across AI, backend development, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure to deliver practical automation that creates measurable impact.
 

While AI is the core focus, you'll also contribute to backend development when new platform functionality is required.
 

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-powered automation using LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Build AI solutions for code reviews, documentation, pull request generation, testing, release notes, security scanning, and internal developer assistants.
• Integrate AI models with internal systems through APIs, tool/function calling, and MCP servers.
• Develop safe and reliable AI workflows with evaluation frameworks, guardrails, human approval steps, and cost optimization.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Develop backend features and integrations using C#/.NET when required.
• Support cloud infrastructure running on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Integrate DevSecOps practices, including vulnerability scanning and secrets management.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and recommend improvements to engineering processes.
   

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on AI automation projects.
• Experience building applications with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, prompt engineering, and API integrations.
• Knowledge of tool/function calling, agent orchestration, and MCP servers is highly desirable.
• Experience designing AI-powered developer productivity or operational automation tools.
• Strong understanding of AI evaluation, guardrails, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (YAML) and/or GitHub Actions.
• Strong Microsoft Azure experience.
• Production experience with Kubernetes (AKS).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM).
• Hands-on backend development experience using C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core Web API, Entity Framework Core, and REST APIs.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation tasks.
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices, vulnerability management, and secrets management.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong English communication skills.
   

Nice to Have

• Experience building internal AI copilots.
• Experience with AI-assisted code review or security tooling.
• Experience integrating AI into software engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic, or other modern LLM platforms.
• Experience optimizing engineering productivity through automation.
