Junior Java Developer

Join a Canadian fintech and banking project as a Junior Java Developer (Production Support).
No commercial experience is required-just a solid understanding of Java and a willingness to learn.

Mon, Wed, Thur, Sat 08:00–16:30 Kyiv time

Requirements

• Good knowledge of Java Core and object-oriented programming.
• Basic understanding of Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with SQL and Git.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and the ability to read application logs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
• English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2+) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production systems and respond to alerts using Datadog and PagerDuty.
• Investigate production incidents and perform initial troubleshooting.
• Analyse application and infrastructure logs in AWS CloudWatch.
• Escalate issues to Development or DevOps teams when needed.
• Create and update tickets in ServiceNow.
• Configure and maintain dashboards, monitors, and alerts in Datadog.
• Document incident resolutions and update the internal knowledge base.
• Participate in shift handovers and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with Java Developers, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure system stability.
