Senior QA Engineer (FinTech)

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who will take ownership of product quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle. This role is responsible for defining the testing approach, ensuring all features meet quality standards, identifying risks before release, and making informed decisions about production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality of the product from requirements to production release.
• Analyze business requirements and create comprehensive test scenarios.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Test complex business logic related to payments, financial transactions, settlements, refunds, and integrations with external services.
• Validate REST APIs, databases, and backend services.
• Investigate defects, analyze logs, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Actively use AI tools to improve testing efficiency, accelerate analysis, and increase test coverage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software testing.
• Experience testing backend systems and REST APIs.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Understanding of client-server architecture.
• Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Practical experience using AI tools as part of the daily QA workflow.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to take responsibility for product quality.
• Ability to analyze complex business logic and identify edge cases.

• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.

   

Interview Process

The interview includes practical QA tasks performed live. Candidates will also be asked to demonstrate how they use AI tools in their daily work to analyze requirements, design test scenarios, investigate issues, and improve testing efficiency.
