Senior Full-Stack Developer (Kotlin / Java / React)

Duration — Long-term
Location — Europe (business trips to Germany every 6 months for 3–4 days).
Rate — Up to 28 USD/hour
Important: We are looking for a truly senior engineer. Mid-level candidates are unlikely to pass the technical interview.
About the Project
You'll join a long-term enterprise project developing a web-based platform for German leasing companies. The product supports and automates the core business processes of leasing providers and is actively evolving with new features and modernization initiatives.
This is an opportunity to work on a mature enterprise system with modern technologies, high engineering standards, and long-term product development.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications
- Build scalable backend services using Kotlin and Java
- Develop modern, responsive frontend functionality with React
- Improve and modernize existing modules and system architecture
- Optimize application performance and maintain high code quality
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams
- Contribute to CI/CD and automated testing practices
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools where appropriate
Requirements
- 6+ years of commercial software development experience
- Strong commercial experience with Kotlin
- Strong commercial experience with Java
- Strong commercial experience with React
- Experience building scalable enterprise applications
- Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, clean code practices, and problem-solving skills
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher (B2+)
