Every public-facing page, landing, and web service the company runs needs to move to a modern foundation β and Astro is the chosen path. You'll lead that migration end-to-end: rebuilding pages as Astro components, wiring up content sources, and making sure nothing gets left behind in terms of performance, SEO, or accessibility. The scope covers all web projects across the company, so the work is varied and the impact is immediate.
What youβll actually be doing:
- Lead the end-to-end migration of corporate websites and web services to Astro.
- Build and maintain a reusable UI component library and shared layouts.
- Connect diverse content sources like Markdown, MDX, headless CMS, or APIs.
- Drive performance and quality standards: Core Web Vitals, SEO, and WCAG accessibility across all migrated properties.
- Write clear and repeatable technical documentation for the migration process.
Weβre looking for someone who:
- Has 3+ years of commercial frontend development experience.
- Has practical experience working with WordPress.
- Has 1+ years of hands-on experience with Astro including islands architecture, content collections, and SSG/SSR.
- Shipped at least one production project integrating React, Vue, or Svelte within Astro.
- Holds a strong command of HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid), and modern TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Uses AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude to speed up development and refactoring.
- Speaks and writes in English at a B2 level or higher.
