Shopify Developer

About the Position

We are looking for a Shopify-focused Designer & Frontend Developer who enjoys creating engaging ecommerce experiences from the ground up. In this role, you'll be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle - from initial concepts and interface design to implementing fully functional Shopify storefronts, websites, and landing pages for consumer-facing brands.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Shopify storefronts, marketing websites, landing pages, and end-to-end shopping experiences with a strong focus on conversion.
• Transform concepts, wireframes, and design briefs into responsive, production-ready interfaces.
• Customize, improve, and maintain Shopify themes.
• Create reusable sections, components, and content blocks using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Deliver fast, responsive, and pixel-accurate user experiences across desktop and mobile devices.
• Work closely with Product, Marketing, Growth, and Engineering teams to implement new features and user experiences.
• Investigate and resolve frontend issues while ensuring consistent behavior across modern browsers.
• Keep up with new Shopify capabilities, ecommerce best practices, frontend technologies, and AI-assisted design workflows.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial experience working with Shopify design and frontend development.
• Portfolio demonstrating both ecommerce design work and hands-on Shopify implementation.
• Strong expertise with Shopify, Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6 or newer).
• Solid experience building responsive, mobile-first interfaces.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify Online Store 2.0, including Sections, Blocks, Metafields, and Metaobjects.
• Good understanding of UX/UI principles and designing interfaces optimized for user conversion.
• Experience using Git and collaborating within modern development workflows.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Shopify Plus.
• Familiarity with Shopify Functions and Checkout Extensibility.
• Knowledge of React, Next.js, or Shopify Hydrogen.
• Experience creating advanced frontend interactions and animations using tools such as GSAP or ScrollTrigger.
• Understanding of Shopify APIs and third-party application integrations.
• Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics 4, Hotjar, or Microsoft Clarity.
• Experience running A/B tests and applying conversion rate optimization (CRO) practices.
• Practical experience using AI-powered creative tools for generating visual assets or videos (for example: Higgsfield, Nano Banana, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, Kling, or similar solutions).
