Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Project

The end client is one of the largest automotive manufacturers in the world. The project delivers an IoT-based solution that gives the client real-time visibility and control over its supply chain, connecting production facilities, logistics partners, and suppliers across multiple regions.

The value of the solution lies in its ability to help the client adapt quickly to disruptions — from parts shortages and supplier delays to demand shifts — by turning fragmented supply chain data into actionable, real-time insight. This reduces downtime risk, improves planning accuracy, and makes the client's manufacturing operations more resilient at global scale.

As part of a system operating at this scale, the DevOps team is responsible for a reliable, secure, and observable cloud infrastructure that keeps the platform available and performant for a global automotive business.

 

Responsibilities

• Work with Kubernetes objects on AKS (deployments, services, ingress, network policies, RBAC, etc.)
• Implement and support the observability and monitoring stack (Grafana dashboards and alerts, OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor)
• Configure, maintain, and improve CI/CD processes using GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Ensure infrastructure security, including:
  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest
  • Implementation and maintenance of RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) in Kubernetes
  • Access control and protection of critical cluster components
  • Network security and policy enforcement using Cilium policies
  • Policy management and governance using Kyverno policies
  • Integration with secure secrets management solutions (Azure Key Vault, Private Endpoints, Private Links)
     

Requirements

• Upper-Intermediate English (B2) or higher — mandatory
• Production-level experience with Kubernetes on Microsoft Azure (AKS)
• Solid understanding of Linux and networking
• Experience with secure Kubernetes deployment practices: TLS/mTLS, Secrets management, encryption at rest, RBAC configuration and audit
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code: Terraform, Terragrunt
• Experience with IAM and Azure Storage (Storage Accounts, Blob Storage)
• Good understanding of Kubernetes storage concepts (PV, PVC, Storage Classes)
• Observability experience: Grafana (dashboard and alert configuration), OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor
• Understanding of approaches to system monitoring (observability best practices)
• General understanding of Kafka
• Experience with Postgres and Redis
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions
• Experience with Azure Key Vault, Private Endpoints, Private Links
• Knowledge of Helm, Kustomize
• Experience with Cilium network policies and Kyverno policies
   

Nice to Have

• Experience with Apache Flink
• Practical experience with FinOps
• CNCF or Microsoft certifications in the DevOps field
• Candidates based in Europe are preferred
