IoT Integration Engineer (Mobile / Connected Devices)

We are launching a new IoT direction focused on connected devices and mobile applications. We’re looking for an engineer who wants to become one of the first people in this team and help shape both the technical direction and engineering processes.
This is a hands-on engineering role with significant ownership and the opportunity to influence how the department evolves.
What you’ll work on
You’ll be responsible for integrating smart devices with mobile applications and cloud services rather than developing low-level firmware.
Typical projects include:
Integration of IoT devices with iOS and Android applications
Working with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi and other communication protocols
Device onboarding and provisioning
SDK and API integration
Configuration and testing of connected hardware
Troubleshooting communication between devices, mobile apps and backend services
Collaborating with mobile developers, backend engineers and QA
Creating technical documentation and integration guides
Participating in architecture discussions for new IoT products
Evaluating new devices, SDKs and integration approaches
Requirements
Commercial experience with IoT products or connected devices
Understanding of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
Experience integrating hardware with mobile applications
Experience working with REST APIs
Understanding of networking fundamentals
Ability to debug communication between hardware and software
Experience reading technical documentation and SDKs
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
English level: Intermediate+ or higher
Nice to have
Experience with Android or iOS development
Experience with React Native or Flutter
Understanding of MQTT or WebSockets
Experience with cloud IoT platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT)
Basic embedded systems knowledge
Experience working with hardware manufacturers
Experience using oscilloscopes, BLE analyzers or similar diagnostic tools
