Middle DevOps Engineer (Oracle Cloud)
Project overview
We are looking for a Middle DevOps Engineer to join Group107. You will own the build, automation, and reliability of cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud (OCI), working closely with development and QA teams to ship and operate services with confidence. The role suits an engineer who can apply infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD patterns independently, optimize what already runs, and consult on technology choices for medium-complexity problems.
Requirements
– Good knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) — 3+ years of hands-on cloud experience
– Strong knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform
– Good knowledge of Linux administration and shell scripting Containers & Orchestration
– Strong knowledge of Docker for containerization
– Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration Automation & Delivery
– Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
– Understanding of GitOps / GitFlow workflows and version control with Git Observability
– Experience with monitoring and alerting using Prometheus and Grafana
– Good problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis
– Ability to work independently on medium-complexity tasks
– Effective communication with technical and non-technical team members
– Willingness to participate in sprint planning and effort estimation
– Optimization mindset across cost, performance, and reliability
Nice to have
– Experience with configuration management (Ansible)
– Scripting in Python for automation tooling
– Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
– Familiarity with secrets management and security hardening
– Relevant cloud certification (e.g., OCI Architect Associate)
Responsibilities
– Design, provision, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud (OCI) using infrastructure-as-code
– Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that automate testing, build, and deployment
– Operate containerized workloads on Kubernetes and Docker, ensuring availability and scalability
– Set up and tune monitoring, alerting, and logging so issues are caught before they reach users
– Work effectively with development and QA teams to streamline release cycles and resolve infrastructure issues
– Identify and apply optimizations across cost, performance, and reliability
– Contribute to documentation and propose improvements to deployment and operational processes
