Siemens NX Design Engineer
Consedge Tech is a Ukrainian company developing plugins and integrations for engineering software (Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Revit, Tekla Structures) for clients in the US and Europe.
We are looking for a Siemens NX Design Engineer - parametric 3D modelling.
About the project
We are building a library of 65 original reference parametric models in Siemens NX for an international client. Each object comes with a written specification (technical description + dimension table) and a complexity tag (Medium / Hard / Very-Hard). This is pure design engineering - no CAM, no manufacturing drawings - the deliverable is the model itself, its exports, and accompanying engineering documentation.
Sample objects
- Precision mechanical parts: optomechanics with custom fine large-diameter threads (modelled with a real profile via Helix + Sweep), cage systems, thoughtfully designed datum schemes;
- Multi-body sheet metal assemblies: Sheet Metal with correct flat patterns, K-factor, and bend allowance calculations;
Parametric assemblies with top-down relationships.
What each object includes
- Native NX file with a clean, named feature tree;
- Full parametrisation via expressions: the model must survive edits to master dimensions without tree failures โ a regeneration test is part of acceptance;
- Neutral exports: STEP AP242; DXF flat patterns for sheet metal parts;
A short Engineering / Design Intent Log in English: modelling method, assumptions, calculations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of design engineering experience in Siemens NX;
- Confident command of: expressions, datum construction, Sheet Metal (Flat Pattern, K-factor), helical/swept features, assemblies; WAVE / top-down is a plus;
- Mechanical engineering background: thread standards (UNS, ISO metric), fits, manufacturability;
- Technical English: reading specifications, writing short logs (B1+);
- Discipline: precise adherence to specifications, written documentation of all assumptions.
Nice to have: experience in optomechanics, GD&T, own licensed NX access.
How to apply
- CV or profile โ with a link to your NX work experience;
- NX portfolio โ 2-3 models with screenshots of the feature tree (this is our key selection criterion);
- Estimated price for one Medium-level and one Hard-level object;
- For teams โ team composition, member roles, and approximate throughput (number of objects per week).
