Back-End Engineer (Java, Node.js)

We are looking for a Middle Back-End Engineer to join our team at ORIL. This is an opportunity to work on a sophisticated FinTech platform that automates and streamlines credit underwriting for the US automotive industry. About the Project

Our client is a US-based innovator providing a web application for automated loan underwriting. The platform processes applications, runs proprietary scoring algorithms, and connects dealerships with major credit agencies and lenders to instantly generate financial offers. The project has a stable, released platform and is currently focused on scaling and onboarding new enterprise partners through active integrations.

Tech Stack: Java 21, Spring Boot, Node.js, Maven, MongoDB, Hazelcast, Docker, WebSockets, JWT, AWS S3, Angular.
 

What are we looking for?

• 3+ years of experience in Back-End development using Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js;
• Solid experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing complex third-party API integrations;
• Proficiency with MongoDB and caching solutions (e.g., Hazelcast);
• Ability to take ownership of backend features, from designing logic to handling security (JWT, WebSockets);
• An analytical mindset capable of working with scoring algorithms and complex business logic;
• Ability to discuss technical solutions directly with the team and the client;
• English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2).
   

Nice to have:

• Experience in FinTech, SaaS, or credit underwriting domains;
• Basic understanding of Angular to smoothly collaborate with frontend tasks if needed;
• Experience with AWS services.

What will you do?

• Develop, optimize, and maintain the backend logic (Java + Node.js) for the platform;
• Implement and support a wide range of third-party integrations;
• Enhance and optimize the core underwriting algorithmic engine;
• Collaborate with the team to ensure high system reliability, security, and performance;
• Participate in technical discussions to help map out the integration of new partners.
