Senior AI Workflow Engineer / AI Engineer

About the role

Bluepes is looking for a Senior AI Workflow Engineer / AI Engineer to join our internal team and help us design, build, and scale AI-powered products, workflows, and internal systems.

This is an internal role focused on building AI solutions for Bluepes products and business operations. The person will work with internal systems such as CMS, CRM, operational tools, automation workflows, knowledge bases, reporting systems, and future AI-powered product directions.

We are looking for someone who already has hands-on experience with LLM-based systems, RAG, AI agents, orchestration, multi-agent workflows, tool calling, integrations, output validation, and human-in-the-loop processes. We need a senior engineer who can understand a business process, identify where AI can create real value, design the technical approach, and implement reliable AI-assisted workflows.

The right person should be proactive, independent, and comfortable working in a fast-changing AI environment. We expect this person to bring ideas, challenge weak assumptions, suggest better solutions, test new tools, and help Bluepes build practical AI-powered systems that can support internal work and later grow into client-facing products or services.

What you will do

• Analyze Bluepes internal workflows, tools, and business processes to identify opportunities for AI automation and AI-assisted products.
• Design and build AI-powered workflows for CMS, CRM, internal operations, content workflows, reporting, client support, knowledge management, and other internal systems.
• Build and improve LLM-based applications, RAG systems, AI agents, and multi-agent workflows.
• Design agent orchestration logic, including agent roles, routing, memory/context management, tool access, escalation rules, and human approval points.
• Work with LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI / Anthropic APIs, vector databases, embedding pipelines, tool calling, and similar AI engineering tools.
• Integrate AI workflows with internal systems, APIs, databases, CMS, CRM, GitHub / GitLab, Jira / Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation platforms.
• Define validation rules for AI-generated outputs, including evaluation criteria, graders, prompt/version control, confidence checks, and human-in-the-loop review.
• Build workflows for task preparation, documentation, content support, data processing, reporting, QA support, operational automation, and internal decision support.
• Evaluate AI outputs critically and improve systems based on real usage, failures, logs, and feedback.
• Document workflow architecture, agent logic, assumptions, limitations, risks, and improvement ideas.
• Work directly with Bluepes management, developers, content/marketing, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Propose new AI product ideas, automation opportunities, internal tooling improvements, and technical approaches.

Required skills

• 6+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with AI engineering, LLM-based applications, AI agents, RAG systems, or AI-assisted automation.
• Practical experience with LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI API, Anthropic Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar AI engineering tools.
• Experience designing or implementing agentic workflows, multi-agent systems, tool calling, or LLM orchestration.
• Experience with RAG architecture, vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, retrieval pipelines, and context management.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle: requirements, tasks, Git, pull requests, code review, testing, CI/CD, releases, and support.
• Strong coding background in at least one mainstream language, such as Python, JavaScript / TypeScript, Java, .NET, or similar.
• Good understanding of APIs, integrations, webhooks, databases, CI/CD, and system-to-system communication.
• Experience integrating AI workflows with tools such as CMS, CRM, GitHub, GitLab, Jira, Azure DevOps, internal tools, or automation platforms.
• Ability to define validation logic for AI-generated outputs, including evaluations, graders, quality checks, output constraints, and human review points.
• Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into technical workflow designs.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and propose solutions rather than only execute prepared tasks.
• English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with MCP, agent frameworks, autonomous or semi-autonomous agents, or internal developer platforms.
• Experience with AI evaluations, RAGAS, LangSmith, Langfuse, prompt/version control, observability, tracing, or monitoring for LLM systems.
• Experience with workflow automation tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar.
• Experience with CMS, CRM, internal business systems, operational automation, or knowledge management systems.
• Experience building internal AI assistants, business copilots, workflow agents, or AI-powered productivity tools.
• Understanding of AI-assisted SDLC / AIDLC, developer productivity, PR review automation, test generation, bug analysis, or release governance.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, Docker, GitHub Actions, AWS, Azure, GCP, serverless tools, or similar.
• Experience mentoring developers or leading small technical initiatives.
• Spanish language skills would be a plus.
