About us

We build Dream Companion, a consumer AI companion platform with ~1M users and tens of thousands of daily actives. Small, profitable, founder-owned team that ships fast. Modern stack (Next.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis), AI image/video generation, subscriptions and payments at scale.
 

Note before you apply: the product includes adult (NSFW) content. You'll be testing it daily. Only apply if you're fully comfortable with that.

What you'll do

• Own functional testing for new features — you test it, you sign off, we ship
• Write and maintain test cases and checklists for your feature areas
• Do exploratory and negative testing: find the bugs nobody scripted for
• Test our highest-risk flows: signup, subscriptions, payments, paywall/upgrade gates, abuse/anti-fraud checks
• Write clear, reproducible bug reports the dev team can act on without a follow-up call
• Work directly with developers and the founder — short feedback loops, no bureaucracy
   

What we're looking for

• 2+ years hands-on manual QA on web products
• Strong at exploratory and edge-case testing, not just running someone else's script
• Comfortable with browser dev tools, reading network requests, basic SQL, checking logs
• Experience testing payment or subscription flows is a big plus
• Clear written English — your bug reports are how the whole team communicates
• Independent: you can own a feature area without hand-holding
• Exposure to API testing (Postman or openAPI)

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-generated content or content-moderation testing
• Some scripting / automation curiosity (not required for this role)
