What you'll do:
— Design and build backend services end-to-end (API design, database schema, background processing, third-party integrations) and own them from first commit to production.
— Work across microservices and event-driven flows: async workers, webhooks, retries/idempotency, message queues.
— Integrate LLMs (OpenAI / Anthropic APIs) and build AI-powered features and automation.
— Ship with Docker + CI/CD; keep reliability, testing, and clean service boundaries first-class.
— Work directly with the founder on technical direction — your decisions carry weight.

Python (async/asyncio), FastAPI, Django/DRF, PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, Celery/RabbitMQ, Redis, Docker, CI/CD.
You'll fit if you:
— Have 5+ years of production Python and have owned backends solo.
— Think in terms of reliability, idempotency, and maintainable architecture, not just making it work.
— Are comfortable with ambiguity and moving fast without breaking production.
