Senior QA Engineer / SDET (Blockchain)

We invite a Senior QA Engineer / SDET (Blockchain) to join our team and help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of a large-scale fintech data platform in the private markets domain. In this role, you will own blockchain test automation for our wallet and multi-chain integration platform and L2/protocol stack. You will build the test harnesses, CI pipelines, and validation practices the team relies on before release, working closely with the blockchain team on access control, wallet flows, cross-chain capabilities, and MCP integration layers. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our AI testing practices, contributing to our strategic goal of building an AI-driven framework to leverage and elevate QA automation.
 

🟩 What’s in it for you:

  ✅ Is that you?
• 5+ years in QA or SDET roles with a non-UI automation focus
• Hands-on experience validating blockchain and DLT integrations: wallets, transactions, on-chain state, multi-network behavior
• Experience validating smart contract behavior, transaction flows, and on-chain state
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals: consensus, transaction lifecycle, gas models, wallet flows, EVM and Cosmos/IBC
• Strong TypeScript and Node.js test automation; REST API and JSON-RPC testing
• Experience with database state verification and setup using PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other NoSQL solutions
• Treats environments as code, utilizing Docker-based test environments and debugging containerized services
• CI/CD integration: pipelines, quality gates, automation metrics
  
   

Desirable:

• Ability to read Golang for protocol and interchain test suites
• Solidity and/or Rust writing skills for smart contract validation
• EVM testing with Foundry, Hardhat, or equivalent
• Layer 2 and protocol test coverage: ICS, IBC, anchoring, EVM precompiles
• AWS SNS-SQS and Azure Service Bus validation in async transaction pipelines
• Observability-driven testing: metrics, logs, distributed traces
• MCP protocol testing: tools, resources, auth, API Gateway integration
• Formal load and performance testing for infrastructure-sensitive paths

• Own test strategy and automation for chain-integrated features end-to-end
• Validate integration between platform services and blockchain layers
• Test developer-facing surfaces: REST APIs, JSON-RPC, gRPC, MCP servers, and chain interaction endpoints
• Collaborate with engineering and product on coverage and acceptance criteria
• Define and evolve blockchain QA practices, standards, and automation frameworks
• Contribute to test plans, technical documentation, and quality diagrams
• Ensure release confidence through automated regression, CI quality gates, and continuous improvement
• Investigate failures across distributed systems, async pipelines, and multi-ledger integrations, ensuring the team targets root causes rather than symptoms
