Head of Marketing (Whitechain)!

Requirements

β€” 6+ years total marketing, with at least 3 years marketing infrastructure projects (L1, L2, rollups, middleware, oracles, bridges, dev tooling), not just consumer apps or tokens.
β€” Built and led a marketing team from a small base.
β€” Proven track record of growth that converts into durable on-chain outcomes (sustained TVL, active users). Thinks in funnels (awareness, builder and user acquisition, activation, retention) and owns the outcome metric end to end, not just top-of-funnel reach
β€” Strategic and hands-on. Sets the strategy and, in the early build phase before the team is staffed, executes directly: positioning, content, launches.
β€” Demonstrated full-funnel growth with real numbers: CAC by channel, activation, retention, on-chain attribution.
β€” Demonstrated organic and earned growth, not only paid acquisition.
β€” Budget discipline. Every line of spend tied to a forecast and a metric, able to break down a past budget by line and show the KPI behind each spend.
β€” Product marketing. Can translate a technical value proposition into audience-specific narratives for builders, protocol founders, and retail users.
β€” Competitive positioning. Experience positioning a challenger against established players using market and on-chain data.
β€” Experience taking a project to public visibility
β€” Hands-on GTM and launch experience, run end to end.

Responsibilities

β€” Build and scale the marketing team, defining structure, priorities, and operating processes.
β€” Hire, develop, and manage talent across ecosystem marketing, growth, content, community, design, brand, PR, and partner marketing.
β€” Define and execute Whitechain's marketing strategy across builders, protocols, and users.
β€” Own planning and budget allocation
β€” Spend-to-outcome monitoring and reallocate based on what works.
β€” Define Whitechain's positioning as an exchange-backed chain.
β€” Develop messaging and narrative frameworks for key audiences, translating the technical value proposition into clear narratives for builders, protocol founders, and users.
β€” Own brand identity and the design function, keeping a consistent visual and verbal system across channels.
β€” Work with ecosystem partners to maximize protocol visibility, data coverage, and discoverability across the broader Web3 landscape.
β€” Own competitive intelligence: track competing chains and ecosystems on TVL, activity, and narrative, and position Whitechain against them.
β€” Lead go-to-market strategy for protocol launches, ecosystem initiatives, and major product releases.
β€” Drive co-marketing programs with ecosystem partners.
β€” Turn Whitechain distribution into a growth asset for builders.
β€” Equip BD with launch and pipeline collateral: pitch decks, one-pagers, and ecosystem case studies that help convert the priority protocol target list.
β€” Partner with DevRel to grow builder awareness and developer acquisition.
β€” Design and execute campaigns that drive wallet activation, on-chain engagement
β€” Build Whitechain's presence across industry media, social channels, and ecosystem communities.
β€” Lead KOL, ambassador, and community programs.
β€” Develop content that strengthens Whitechain's credibility among builders, protocols, and users.
β€” Own the Whitechain marketing site and launch landing pages as conversion surfaces.
β€” Build measurement frameworks tied to ecosystem outcomes, with clear metric definitions so results are not gameable.
β€” Track acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and marketing ROI.
β€” Optimize investment based on measurable business impact.

β€” Experience at an exchange-backed chain or marketing the CEX-to-on-chain bridge.
β€” DeFi-native fluency (TVL, launch mechanics, seasons).
β€” Established KOL networks and ambassador program experience.
β€” Regional marketing across multiple geographies.
β€” Developer marketing and grant-program marketing experience.
β€” Experience working alongside a partner's in-house marketing team.
β€” Strong personal writing and content craft.
