As a Lead Python Developer at Drawer.AI, you will lead the backend development of our AI-powered platform for the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. You will drive technical decisions, mentor engineers, and work closely with Product, AI, and Engineering teams to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead backend architecture and technical decision-making.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and Django.
• Review code and ensure high engineering standards.
• Mentor backend engineers and support their technical growth.
• Collaborate with Product, AI, Frontend, and Infrastructure teams.
• Improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Drive engineering best practices and SDLC improvements.
   

Requirements:

• 6+ years of professional Python development experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Tech Lead or technical leader.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Django.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and SQL databases.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers.
• Experience building production-grade distributed systems.
• Strong experience with AWS.
• Experience designing scalable system architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving, mentoring, and communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience with AI/ML-powered products.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Experience with PDF processing and SVG.
• Experience with NumPy, SciPy, or similar libraries.
• Experience working in B2B SaaS startups.
