Talent Acquisition Specialist (FinTech)

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients β€” a profitable, funded company operating in the money remittance and crypto space, managing regulated financial licenses including European MiCA authorisations and Canadian MSB registrations.

The company operates across multiple jurisdictions, with offices in Georgia and Albania, and a hybrid structure combining remote and office-based teams of approximately 60 employees.

They build and scale businesses in highly regulated and fast-moving industries including FinTech, Payments, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Customer Support, and Business Development. As they continue to grow, maintaining an exceptionally high hiring standard remains one of their most critical priorities.

The Role

Recruitment isn’t HR β€” it is one of the most important competitive advantages a company can have.

One strong hire can multiply output. One wrong hire can cost months of time, slow down teams, and negatively impact culture. That is why success here is not measured by the number of CVs sent or roles filled, but by the quality of people brought into the business.

If you are looking for a role focused on sending CVs to hiring managers, this is not the right fit.

If you genuinely enjoy identifying exceptional talent, challenging vague answers, and uncovering real capability behind polished interviews, you will fit well here.

In this role, you will act as the first and most important quality filter before candidates reach management. You will take ownership of an existing hiring flow and continuously improve its speed, precision, and quality, with the authority to refine and optimize the process where needed.

Our philosophy is simple: when you recommend a candidate for final interview, there should already be around 90% confidence that they are capable of succeeding in the company.

Your responsibility is not maximizing interviews. Your responsibility is maximizing hiring quality.

What You'll Do

  • Identify exceptional talent across multiple business functions.
  • Build and continuously improve sourcing strategies for FinTech and related industries.
  • Own and refine our 3-stage evaluation flow: two structured interviews plus one in-person practical test conducted between them.
  • Design structured interviews that go beyond rehearsed answers.
  • Create follow-up questions that expose genuine experience rather than theory or buzzwords.
  • Use practical business scenarios to evaluate how candidates think, prioritize and solve problems.
  • Assess mindset, ownership, integrity, curiosity, learning ability and long-term potential.
  • Continuously improve our AI-assisted recruitment process, interview frameworks and evaluation methods.
  • Present only highly qualified candidates to management.
  • Continuously raise the recruitment standards across the company.

Who We're Looking For

We're far less interested in how many years you've recruited.

We're far more interested in how you think.

  • You naturally question vague answers.
  • You don't confuse confidence with competence.
  • You enjoy digging deeper until you understand what someone actually accomplished.
  • You understand that impressive job titles don't necessarily create impressive employees.
  • You know that technical skills can often be learned.
  • Mindset, ownership, integrity and curiosity are much harder to teach.
  • You enjoy interviewing because you're genuinely curious about people β€” not because it's another task on your calendar.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first year you will:

  • Consistently identify exceptional talent across multiple business functions.
  • Improve the overall quality and efficiency of our existing recruitment flow.
  • Sharpen our 3-stage evaluation process (two interviews + one practical test) into a sharper, more predictive standard.
  • Significantly reduce the amount of management time spent interviewing unsuitable candidates.
  • Earn the trust of leadership so that candidates you recommend are expected to succeed.
  • Help us hire approximately five outstanding people each month without compromising quality.

Requirements

  • Previous recruitment experience within FinTech, Payments, Financial Services or another fast-paced international industry.
  • Strong interviewing and communication skills.
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions and asking difficult follow-up questions.
  • Highly organized and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or similar platforms is an advantage. You don't need to build AI systems, but you should be comfortable improving and working with AI-assisted recruitment workflows.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary.
  • Performance-based KPI bonuses.
  • Fully remote position with business travel to our offices in Georgia and Albania at least once a year to meet teams, observe local hiring, and calibrate evaluation standards in person.
  • High level of autonomy and ownership over an existing, evolving recruitment flow.
  • Direct impact on how our company grows.
  • Opportunity to build and refine recruitment systems rather than simply execute them.

Before You Apply

Please don't tell us you're a "people person."

Show us.

We're interested in your ability to identify exceptional talent β€” not your ability to write a polished CV.

If you enjoy discovering outstanding people, continuously improving recruitment systems and protecting companies from expensive hiring mistakes, we'd love to hear from you.
