Senior QA engineer

Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate the end-to-end testing lifecycle of complex web applications (Frontend and Backend).
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Test and validate REST APIs using Postman and related tools.
• Analyze requirements, identify risks, and contribute to feature design at early development stages.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, checklists, test plans, and bug reports.
• Investigate defects through log analysis, database validation, and system behavior analysis.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to validate data integrity and business logic.
• Contribute to test automation initiatives and maintain existing automated test suites.
• Leverage AI tools to improve testing efficiency, generate test data, and optimize QA processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and continuously improve QA processes and standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial QA experience, including experience testing complex web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience in manual testing of both Frontend and Backend systems.
• Practical experience with REST API testing.
• Solid understanding of HTTP, client-server architecture, and web application principles.
• Strong SQL skills, including JOINs, GROUP BY, and complex queries.
• Hands-on experience with Postman, Jira, Confluence, TestRail, Git, and BrowserStack.
• Experience creating high-quality test documentation and bug reports.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) in day-to-day QA activities.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset.
• Experience working in product-oriented teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with test automation using Java (Selenium/Selenide) or Playwright.
• Experience with performance and load testing.
• Experience with A/B testing methodologies.
• Experience with Redis and ClickHouse.
• Experience with monitoring and logging systems (Sentry, Kibana).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and RabbitMQ.
