QA General

The Role 

QA General plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products across multiple platforms, and is responsible for designing and executing tests, identifying issues. He ensures our applications meet high-quality standards before release. 

Core Responsibilities 

Manual & functional testing 

• Conduct comprehensive manual testing of web and mobile (Android and iOS) applications on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android (devices, emulators, and simulators) 
• Perform UI/UX testing to ensure compliance with design specifications and accessibility standards (WCAG) 
• Analyze and identify defects across all parts of the system (desktop, server, mobile) 
• Execute regression and functional testing for new and existing features 
• Design and execute test cases using appropriate test design techniques 
• Use QA tools such as Postman, Swagger, MockServer, emulators, and simulators 

Test Automation 

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests primarily for web applications 
• Use automation tools and technologies such as: 
• Web (required): Playwright and/or Cypress 
• Languages: JavaScript (TypeScript is a plus) 
• IDEs: IntelliJ IDEA and/or VS Code 
• Contribute to mobile test automation where needed (basic scripts, support of existing suites, or gradual expansion of coverage) 
• Integrate web automated tests into the development and release workflow where applicable 

Processes & Collaboration 

• Estimate testing efforts and report test results clearly and on time 
• Maintain effective communication with developers, designers, product owners, and support teams 
• Engage with beta testers and contribute to bug lifecycle management 
• Contribute to improving testing strategies and QA processes 

Requirements 

QA fundamentals 

• Strong understanding of QA theory, methodologies, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) 
• Proven experience testing web and mobile (Android and iOS) applications 
• Experience testing APIs and HTTP requests 
• Experience with regression, functional, and exploratory testing 
• Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail 

Tools & Technologies 

• Strong knowledge of Postman 
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and TestRail 
• Strong understanding of client-server architecture 
• SQL knowledge and practical experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or MongoDB) 
• Familiarity with Figma, Chrome DevTools, and Grafana 

Automation – WEB (required) 

• Hands-on experience with web test automation using Playwright and/or Cypress 
• Proficiency in JavaScript for writing and maintaining automated tests 
• Ability to integrate and maintain automated tests in the team’s workflow 

Accessibility & Communication 

• Experience with accessibility testing and WCAG guidelines 
• English fluency required; additional languages are a plus
