QA Engineer (Manual)

About the Role & Team

We are looking for an energetic and meticulous Manual QA Engineer to join the VEN Commerce team. Our projects involve complex solutions built on Magento (2.x), including custom themes, extensions, and deep integrations with payment systems and third-party services.

Technical Skills (Core):

• Manual Testing: 3+ years of commercial experience in manual Web testing.
• Basic Automation Literacy: 6+ months of hands-on experience. Understanding of test automation fundamentals and the ability to run, maintain, and debug existing automated test cases (Playwright).
• E-commerce Knowledge: Solid understanding of the order lifecycle, shopping cart logic, checkout flows, and payment methods.
• API Testing: Basic experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) for verifying third-party integrations.
• Web Fundamentals: Proficiency in HTML/CSS and experience in Responsive Design testing.
• DevTools & Proxy: Master of Chrome DevTools, experience with logs and traffic inspection tools (Charles Proxy, Fiddler).
• Databases: Knowledge of SQL (MySQL) at the level of writing queries for data verification.
• Documentation: Experience creating and maintaining high-quality test documentation (test cases, bug reports, check-lists).
• Growth Mindset: Strong desire to continue growing into automation testing in the future.
• English: Intermediate level or higher.

AI Skills:

• Prompt Engineering: Ability to leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.) to accelerate test case creation, test design, exploratory testing, and test data generation.
• AI Literacy: Understanding the capabilities and limitations of AI systems (validating responses for logical errors).

Will be a plus (Bonus Points):

• Hands-on experience with the Magento 2 platform.
• Experience testing healthcare-related products or working with healthcare business workflows.
• Experience testing payment integrations and understanding payment processing flows, transaction statuses, refunds, and related business logic.
• Experience working with subscription-based products and understanding subscription lifecycle management, recurring billing, renewals, upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations.
• Understanding of GitFlow and basic Linux environment skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manual Testing: Testing front-end and back-end of websites, new themes, and Magento extensions with a focus on end-user experience.
• Business Logic: Deep testing of business logic, requirements, and complex client scenarios.
• Quality Control: Ensuring quality at all stages of development—from requirements analysis to release.
• AI Implementation: Using AI tools to automate routine documentation tasks.
• Automation Support: Running, analyzing, and supporting existing automated tests (with a view to writing new ones in the future).
