Senior Backend Developer (Node.js)

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to help build and scale the core infrastructure behind trading, payments, custody and client onboarding processes.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex backend challenges, building scalable systems and contributing to products operating in a regulated fintech environment. You will work closely with product and engineering teams, helping accelerate product delivery and improve critical platform components.

.    Our expectations:
 

• 5+ years of experience in Backend Development.
• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience working with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience designing and developing scalable APIs, integrations and backend services.
• Understanding of software architecture, performance optimisation and system scalability.
• Experience working with AWS, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of database design, migrations and data integrity principles.
• Experience participating in code reviews and maintaining high code quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
• English level — Upper-Intermediate or higher.

     Nice to have:
 

• Experience in FinTech, Crypto, Web3 or other regulated environments.
• Experience working with trading platforms, financial infrastructure or transaction-processing systems.
• Experience with blockchain integrations, wallet infrastructure or custody solutions.
• Experience with payment provider integrations.
• Experience with reconciliation or ledger-based systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes.

• Understanding of operational resilience, security and compliance requirements within financial products.

  
  What you will do:
   

• Develop and maintain backend services and platform components supporting trading, payment and operational workflows.
• Implement new backend functionality using Node.js, TypeScript, and SQL databases.
• Develop APIs, integrations and internal tools while following clean code principles and maintaining high standards of code quality and maintainability.
• Design and maintain database structures, migrations and data processing workflows.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering and other stakeholders to deliver business requirements.
• Contribute to improving system performance, scalability and reliability.
• Support CI/CD processes, software releases, troubleshooting activities and participate in code reviews.
