Who are you
As a Web Researcher Intern, you're someone who enjoys digging into the insurance technology market to find and qualify the companies, contacts, and information our Sales team needs to reach the right people with the right message. You'll:
- Research and build lists of target companies (insurance carriers, MGAs, reinsurers, brokers) that match our ideal customer profile
- Find and verify decision-maker contacts (names, titles, emails, LinkedIn profiles) within target organizations
- Classify companies by relevant criteria (size, region, product vs. service model, tech stack, market focus)
- Monitor industry news, funding rounds, and market shifts to surface new sales opportunities
- Organize research findings into clean, structured spreadsheets or CRM-ready formats
- Cross-check and validate data accuracy before handing it off to Sales
- Support ad hoc research requests as priorities shift
Requirements
- Strong English (written and spoken) โ most outreach materials and tools are in English
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to data gathering
- Comfortable with Google Sheets/Excel for organizing and structuring data
- Strong Boolean search skills and ability to dig past the first page of search results
- Self-organized and able to manage multiple research requests with clear deadlines
- Genuine curiosity about business research and willingness to learn fast
- Reliable internet connection and the discipline to work effectively in a remote setting
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Crunchbase, or similar research/sourcing tools
- Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
- Knowledge of data enrichment tools (Apollo, Hunter, Clearbit, ZoomInfo, etc.)
- Previous internship, freelance, or course-based experience in research, data sourcing, or lead generation
