Senior DevOps Engineer

Softengi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer for the project of the leading Ukrainian telecommunications company!

Required skills and experience:

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, Ansible, and ArgoCD.
• Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Portainer, Kubernetes, Rancher.
•  Solid experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and virtualization platforms such as VMware (virtualization, infrastructure management).
• Experience with OS RedHat linux (CentOS/Fedora/Oracle Linux).
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and infrastructure automation using Terraform.
• Experience developing automation scripts and tools using Python, Bash, or Groovy.
• Experience with Grafana, Kibana , Prometheus, ELK Stack, Kafka/Zookeeper.
• Experience working with source control systems and development tools such as Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, SonarQube, and Artifactory.
• Experience with Maven, Gradle, JMeter, Mock-Servrer.
• Experience with MariaDB, Oracle, Cassandra DB, Redis.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, REST APIs, HTTP, TCP, LDAP, SMPP, and client-server communication principles.
• Solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems architectures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment and collaborate closely with development teams.

• Intermediate or higher level of spoken and written English.

   

Nice to Have:

• Experience in software development (2+ years).
• Knowledge of Java (Core, Java 8/17).
• Experience with Postman and API testing.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Experience writing technical documentation.
• Experience working with support and incident management systems.

• Higher technical education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
