Senior C++ Engineer (Low-Level Database Systems)

Location: Worldwide (excluding RF/RB)

Rate: Up to $23/hour
Workload: Full-time

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with C++
• Deep understanding of database internals
• Hands-on experience with low-level database components such as:
  • Transaction Management (ACID, concurrency control, MVCC)
  • Storage Engine / Storage Layer
  • Query Planning & Optimization
  • Indexing and Data Structures
  • Memory Management and Performance Optimization
• Experience working with distributed systems is a plus
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, ClickHouse, RocksDB, LevelDB, DuckDB, or similar systems
• Knowledge of database kernel development
• Familiarity with query execution engines and compilers
