Senior Java Engineer

Mobilunity is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our globally distributed engineering team and help build, enhance, and scale our high-traffic automotive e-commerce platform. You’ll work on mission-critical backend services, integrations, product catalog management, inventory synchronization, order processing, and marketplace integrations that support a rapidly growing online retail business.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, takes ownership of solutions, and requires minimal supervision. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating across teams, and working directly with business stakeholders when needed.

Requirements

- 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java SE and object-oriented programming principles.
- Solid experience with Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Spring Boot).
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design.
- Experience working with SOAP web services.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
- Experience using Git and modern software development workflows.
- Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to have
- Experience with SAP Commerce (Hybris) and B2B/B2C e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS), Docker, CI/CD, and GraphQL.
- Knowledge of third-party integrations, event-driven architectures, or marketplace integrations.
- Experience with high-availability systems and the automotive, retail, or e-commerce domain.
- Technical leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.
