Community Marketing Specialist / Reddit and Forums Outreach Specialist

BlueVPS is an international hosting provider that has been operating since 2016, offering VPS and hosting solutions to customers worldwide. We provide reliable server infrastructure across multiple locations and help businesses, developers, eCommerce projects, SaaS companies, and other clients launch and manage stable hosting environments.

We are currently looking for a Community Marketing Specialist — someone who can find relevant discussions on Reddit, Quora, forums, and other niche communities, participate in them naturally, and promote our product carefully without spam or aggressive advertising.

We are not looking for a “mass poster.” We are looking for a person who understands community culture, can write helpful replies, and knows when a brand mention is actually relevant.

Responsibilities

• Find relevant subreddits, forums, Quora threads, and other platforms where people discuss VPS, hosting, servers, cloud, dedicated servers, DevOps, web development, cybersecurity, SaaS, eCommerce, and related topics.
• Analyze community rules and understand where participation is appropriate and where promotional activity should be avoided.
• Find fresh discussions where BlueVPS can be useful as a solution.
• Write comments, replies, and short posts in natural English.
• Mention BlueVPS carefully where it is relevant and does not look like direct advertising.
• Maintain an activity report: platform, topic, link, date, account, status, result, and community reaction.
• Track clicks, replies, mentions, leads, and the quality of placements.
• Work together with the Growth, SEO, and Content teams to find new topics, insights from discussions, content ideas, and potential promotion channels.
• Monitor account and brand reputation, avoiding spam, bans, and violations of platform rules.

Requirements

• Experience with Reddit, Quora, forums, Discord, Hacker News, Product Hunt, or other niche communities.
• Understanding of how Reddit works: subreddits, karma, rules, moderators, self-promotion, bans, and spam filters.
• English level B2 or higher — you should be able to write natural comments and posts, not machine-like texts.
• Ability to write clearly, briefly, and without a pushy advertising tone.
• Experience safely managing multiple accounts on community platforms.
• Understanding the difference between helpful participation and spam.
• Basic reporting skills: Google Sheets, Notion, CRM, or task trackers.
• Willingness to learn and understand VPS, hosting, dedicated servers, cloud infrastructure, and related technical products.

Nice to have

• Experience promoting IT, SaaS, hosting, VPN, cybersecurity, or developer tools products.
• Understanding of SEO, link building, outreach, or digital PR.
• Experience finding leads through niche communities.
• Basic understanding of servers, domains, control panels, Linux, cPanel, DirectAdmin, and DDoS protection.
• Ability to find non-obvious platforms and discussions where potential customers may be active.

Who we are not looking for

We are not looking for someone to do mass spam, automated posting, vote manipulation, or ban evasion. We care about long-term presence in communities, account reputation, and careful promotion that does not harm the brand.

Expected results

After 1–2 months, we expect to have a clear community marketing system: a list of relevant platforms, active accounts, regular helpful comments and posts, first clicks, leads, brand mentions, and a better understanding of which communities bring real results.
