Trainee Manual QA Engineer

DevCom is looking for a Trainee QA!
If you have a solid theoretical foundation in manual and mobile testing and a strong desire to learn, we invite you to join our Student Program, where you can gain hands-on experience, improve your skills, and grow in a professional environment.

The benefits of our student program:

— 100% employment in case of successful completion of the student program
— Student program for three months. In this period, the stipend will be paid ($300 gross per month)

Work mode: This is a full-time position located in our Lviv office (hybrid is also available). While we prioritize candidates who are based in Lviv and able to attend the office, we are also happy to consider applicants from other regions of Ukraine.
 

Required Skills:

• Completed thorough testing courses are a mandatory requirement
• English — Intermediate plus  and higher (written and spoken)
• Basic understanding of software testing theory
• Understanding of mobile application testing
• Basic understanding of the software development process
• Familiar with the design and development of test documentation (test case, bug report, checklist)
• Familiar with SDLC/STLC
• Basic knowledge of HTML
• Good knowledge of Database (be able to write database queries to verify data as part of testing)
• Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum
• Ability to analyze and structure information
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• A logical, curious, and analytical mindset with a desire to interrogate data
• Excellent presentation and communication skills

Nice to have:

• Final year student or young specialist in the STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
• Familiar with API testing (Postman/Swagger)
• Being familiar with Jira will be a plus
• Basic understanding of the client-server application architecture
• Basic understanding of LLMs (ChatGPT etc.) and prompt engineering
• Pet projects or practical testing experience

The next step is to perform the test.

After that will be a short interview conducted by recruiter — 15 minutes
