QA Engineer (Automation)

Responsibilities:

• Designing, maintaining and development of automated tests for web applications and APIs;
• Preparation and execution of test cases based on business and technical requirements;
• Conducting functional, regression, integration and smoke testing;
• Analysing test results, identifying defects and creating bug reports with detailed step-by-step reproduction instructions;
• Preparing and updating test documentation;
• Participating in the configuration and maintenance of automated test execution processes in CI/CD;
• Ensuring test coverage of new functionality, fixes and changes to the system.

Requirements:

• A solid understanding of software testing processes, the software development lifecycle and quality assurance principles;
• At least one year’s practical experience in automating web application testing using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar tools;
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript (or TypeScript) for analysing and automating web interfaces;
• Experience in testing APIs (REST) using Postman, Swagger or similar tools;
• Proficiency in Git (branching, pull requests, resolving simple conflicts);
• Knowledge of SQL at a level sufficient to write queries for data verification and analysis (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, subqueries);
• Experience in writing, running, debugging and maintaining automated tests;
• Understanding of the principles of building test frameworks and key automation patterns (Page Object Model, Page Factory or similar);
• Experience working with issue and defect tracking systems (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.);
• Ability to analyse test results and document identified defects.
