Senior Frontend Engineer — Houston Systems

You will be building a financial analytics platform for blue chip companies. The product regression analysis, peer comparison, and rule-based evaluation, all served through a fast, data-dense React app sitting on top of a Python/FastAPI backend. It's a tool that analysts are currently using to make real decisions.

# The role

You'll own the frontend. Architecture, quality, roadmap. You inherit a clean, well-structured codebase and a clear set of conventions, and you make it better.

This is for someone who genuinely likes building good software: who cares whether a tooltip feels right, who profiles before optimising, and who can't leave a messy module alone.

# Stack

React 18 · React Context (no Redux) · Chart.js + Recharts · Axios · Clerk auth · Vercel. You don't need to have used all of it, we are interested in working with those who can learn quickly.

We're looking for

• Someone who's shipped serious production React and has opinions about how to do it right.
• Real fluency with interactive data visualisation dense, financial, or scientific charting.
• A taste for clean state architecture and the discipline to keep boundaries intact
• Product instinct: you sweat the details users feel, and you can tell which details don't matter
• Someone who fixes root causes, not symptoms
