Junior General QA Engineer (Java)

Requirements: 

● Experience: At least 1 year of experience in manual testing of web applications and/or API-based solutions. 

● Java & Test Automation: Knowledge of Java and practical experience in creating, maintaining, and executing automated API tests. Understanding of test automation principles, test framework architecture, and best practices for maintaining automated test suites. 

● API Automation: Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automated API tests using Java, RestAssured, and TestNG. 

● Build & CI/CD Tools: Basic understanding of Gradle and CI/CD principles. Familiarity with TeamCity, GitLab CI, or similar tools is considered a plus. 

● Testing Frameworks: Practical experience with RestAssured for API test automation. Basic knowledge of Selenium for UI test automation. Familiarity with API mocking tools such as WireMock is a plus. 

● Testing Knowledge: Understanding of software testing fundamentals, testing types, defect lifecycle, test design techniques, and quality assurance processes. 

● Test Documentation: Ability to create and maintain test cases, checklists, and bug reports. Experience with TestRail or similar test management tools is an advantage. 

● API Testing & SQL: Practical experience in REST API testing, including validation of requests and responses, status codes, headers, authentication mechanisms, and API troubleshooting using Postman or similar tools. Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation and verification. 

● Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile/Scrum practices and the software development lifecycle. Communication Skills: English level of at least Intermediate (B1), sufficient for reading technical documentation, understanding requirements, and creating test cases, checklists, and bug reports. 

● Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing and debugging. 

● Monitoring & Logging Tools: Basic understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Datadog, OpenSearch, or Kibana is considered a plus. 

● Version Control: Basic knowledge of Git and common collaboration workflows.

 Responsibilities: 

● Requirements Analysis: Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify testing needs and potential risks. 

● Manual Testing: Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing of web applications and APIs. 

● Test Documentation: Create and maintain test cases, checklists, and test execution reports. 

● Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects. Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing. 

● Team Collaboration: Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies. Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders. 

● Automation Support: Develop, maintain, and execute automated API tests using Java, RestAssured, and TestNG. Contribute to the continuous improvement and expansion of the team’s automation coverage. 

● Reporting: Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing results, risks, and issues to the team.
