Lead Cloud/DevOps Architect
We are seeking a results-driven Cloud, DevOps, and Infrastructure Architect with over 10 years of professional experience to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and hybrid) and leading infrastructure modernization and cloud migration programs.
You will bridge the gap between development, security, and operations to deliver architectural solutions aligned with business goals and strict compliance standards, particularly within regulated domains like healthcare, education, and finance.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Infrastructure Setup
- Architect modular, reusable, and policy-compliant Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks using Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation.
- Design and govern complex multi-cluster container orchestration environments utilizing Kubernetes, Helm, Flux, and ArgoCD.
- Deploy API gateways and service meshes (like Istio) to enhance service resilience, security posture, and observability.
- Analyze, identify, and architect enterprise solutions, documenting designs for offshore implementation teams.
CI/CD & Deployment Automation
- Implement enterprise-scale CI/CD architecture utilizing tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Embed progressive delivery strategies including blue-green, canary, and rolling deployments into continuous delivery pipelines.
- Integrate automated security scans, linting, and compliance validation directly into delivery pipelines.
- Write robust automation scripts for bootstrapping applications to servers using Python, Bash, or Groovy.
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) & Observability
- Apply core SRE principles such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to optimize alerting, enhance service reliability, and reduce mean time to recovery (MTTR).
- Establish comprehensive observability engineering and system monitoring platforms utilizing Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Zabbix, and OpenTelemetry.
- Troubleshoot complex server-side and infrastructure issues in close collaboration with development and QA teams.
Security & Governance
- Implement access management automation and policy-based governance frameworks across cloud-native environments.
- Enforce security architecture and cost optimization using HashiCorp Vault, OPA/Gatekeeper, Microsoft Defender, and CIS Benchmarks.
- Collaborate securely within regulated industries, ensuring audit-ready configurations and remediating compliance findings.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Oversee, coordinate, and support implementation teams consisting of DevOps engineers.
- Interact globally with distributed development teams to implement server tasks during code deployment.
- Educate technical and non-technical stakeholders on architectural areas of expertise.
Required Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Education: A university degree (Master's level) in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience in infrastructure architecture, cloud provisioning, and DevOps.
- Cloud Platforms: Deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
- Containers & Orchestration: Proven mastery of Docker, Kubernetes (managed and self-hosted), Helm, and Operators/CRDs.
- Infrastructure as Code: Strong proficiency in Terraform/Open Tofu, AWS CloudFormation, Pulumi, and Ansible.
- Operating Systems: Advanced administration of Ubuntu, CentOS, Gentoo, ArchLinux, and Windows environments.
- Databases: Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, MongoDB, and Redis/Valkey.
- Communication: Upper-Intermediate English proficiency for both written and verbal communication.
