Our client is a financial technology services provider dedicated to expanding global access to digital assets by building innovative solutions in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Their products provide exchanges, liquidity solutions, and enterprise-grade integrations for clients worldwide. Specialized in building Crypto, Web3, and various White-Label Solutions, we are looking for a highly skilled Lead QA Automation Engineer to build our automation infrastructure and drive our quality assurance strategy.

In this role, you will be a core member of our engineering team, establishing testing standards to ensure our cutting-edge crypto solutions meet enterprise-grade performance and reliability metrics. You will have a unique opportunity to transform our QA processes by introducing automation to a rapidly growing organization.

What You'll Do

You will bridge the gap between manual and automated testing by applying your technical expertise to establish robust automation frameworks and guiding our existing QA team. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coordinate a dedicated team of 5 Manual QA Engineers, helping them scale their capabilities and align with automation goals.
• Automation Implementation: Take full responsibility for implementing and scaling automation practices across our core financial and crypto products.
• Framework Architecture: Design, build, and maintain scalable end-to-end automation test suites from scratch using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with product owners, developers, and DevOps engineers to seamlessly integrate automated tests into our build pipelines.
• Real-Time & Data Testing: Ensure the stability, responsiveness, and accuracy of data-heavy and real-time interfaces (such as WebSockets) across various browsers.
• Quality Standards: Conduct review sessions for test scripts, define quality metrics, and champion testing best practices across the engineering culture.

Qualifications

• English: Upper-Intermediate level of English or higher (both written and verbal).
• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in Software Testing, with proven experience leading teams and building automation frameworks.
• Core Technical Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience building automation frameworks using Playwright.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
  • Solid experience with API testing (RESTful APIs) and real-time data streaming technologies (WebSockets).
  • Excellent understanding of CI/CD concepts and integrating automated testing into pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
  • Proficient with Git version control and collaborative workflows.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Bonus Points:

• Experience testing fintech applications, blockchain networks, smart contracts, or cryptocurrency exchanges.
