Senior AI/ML Engineer (Healthcare experience)

We are looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to join a project — a clinical trial technology platform. It’s designed to digitize, streamline, and accelerate clinical trial operations across the full study lifecycle. The solution represents an end-to-end clinical trial management ecosystem that integrates multiple tools into one platform.

You will work in cross-functional product teams to design and build web-based applications that directly impact drug development teams, clinical trial investigators, and ultimately, patients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, empathy for the end-user needs, and a strong track record of developing AIML based solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

• 8+ years of experience designing and implementing highly secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Proficiency in Python with a deep understanding of async programming, streaming, and related concepts
• Experience with AI driven development using GitHub Copilot is required
• Hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions
• Strong expertise in programming languages such as Python or Java
• Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with life science or healthcare domain
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI systems to securely manage and process highly sensitive healthcare data
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements in the life sciences and AI fields
• Fine-tune large language models (LLMs) and implement natural language processing (NLP) solutions for complex language comprehension tasks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient and effective technical solutions
• Apply advanced AI/ML algorithms and techniques to solve complex challenges in life science or healthcare
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance of AI systems in production environments.
• Stay updated on the latest AI/ML research and advancements in life science and healthcare technology to drive innovation within the company
• Take full ownership and accountability for project deliverables in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies as needed
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team

Will Be a Plus:

• Experience in life sciences or regulated industries is highly preferred
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred
   
• Familiarity with AI, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models is a plus
